ADMISSIONS: All the applicants for RTC must be born again Christians and be committed to Jesus Christ and Christian ministry in his /her church. RTC
application forms can be obtained from the Registrar’s office and upon
reception, the form together with relevant certificates and testimonials should
be sent to: The Registrar, Reformed
Theological College, P.O. Box 11701, Kampala.
Or call in person at RTC Bunamwaya Kisigula Campus. Taxis from Kampala
New Taxi Park should drop you at Bunamwaya stage. The original academic documents should be brought later to certify their photocopies. The college calendar year begins in January. Hence for January admissions the application forms should reach the college not later than October. Registration is done at the beginning of every semester (January and July; this arrangement may soon change to reflect the normal academic calendar of Ugandan Institutions). TRANSFER OF CREDITS: Courses which have been taken previously at a recognized Bible College may be transferred to RTC. Courses which meet the specific requirements of the student’s study program may be applied. The Admission Committee will make all the proper decisions on this. REGISTRATION: Students are expected to register during the scheduled registration period each Semester. Registration procedure is given by the Registrar on arrival. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE COLLEGE: A student who finds it necessary to withdraw from the college in the current academic semester is required to comply with the withdrawal process. This procedure enables the student to clear up his/her academic record and any other responsibilities to the college and community. READMISSION: An individual who has not completed a program at the RTC or who has been out of RTC for one year or longer must apply and obtain an approval for readmission from the Academic Dean to resume his / her study. FIELD MINISTRY: In each semester, all students are required to have a field ministry such as Sunday school teaching, bible study leading, preaching, evangelism, etc. GRADUATION: To graduate, all course requirements must be completed satisfactorily. The overall average must not be lower than 2.0 (50). LIBRARY: The library is facilitated with appropriate textbooks that each student will use in the course; and sufficient reference materials are stocked for fairly efficient research work. When a student is registered he/she is given a copy of the guidelines for RTC library. AFFILIATION:RTC is affiliated to Potchefstroom University for Higher Education (PU for CHE). One of the world’s famous Christian Universities in south Africa. Hence if you register with RTC for degree program you will also become a student of PU for CHE and be issued the degrees of PU for CHE after your studies.This arrangement makes our degrees internationally acceptable and provides our graduates with an opportunity to further their education in fairly good universities in Europe, America, South Africa etc.FOREIGN STUDENT'S POLICY: 1. ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS Foreign non- English speaking students are required to sit an English Entry Examination before they are enrolled on any RTC programs. Those who have been admitted in our diploma programs and would like to enroll in Advanced Diploma or B.TH (PU) programs, whose average grade point is below 2.75 also must pass our entry examination (general proficient test).Those who wish to apply to Potchefstroom University (PU) must fulfill the conditions for admissions in PU. 2. IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENT All foreign students at RTC must fulfill Uganda's Immigration policies before being admitted at the college. These include Visa requirements and Pupil’s pass where necessary. The responsibilities are borne by individual student who wishes to enroll in our college. 3. FEES Our fees, save payments to PU, are paid Uganda currency. Those with dollars or other convertible currencies can pay the equivalent in Uganda currency. |
